Abstract:
This lesson is one that can help improve your lead guitar playing without having to teach you a single new scale. This lesson will help to teach you how to make the most out of the guitar's fret-board, and allow you to blend chords and single notes together and completely break out of the chord/single-note/chord pattern. This requires effort but really helped me when I learnt it.

Abstract:
Knowing how to solo with pentatonic scales requires memorizing fingering patterns. The scale diagrams (below) show the five primary patterns for the minor pentatonic in the key of A minor, and for the major pentatonic in the key of C major. Notice that the patterns are exactly the same, but, they will sound totally different if you correctly target the root notes to reinforce the tonality of the key.

Abstract:
Perhaps you're a beginner or a rhythm guitar player, and you want to explore the art of soloing. If so, learning how to solo with pentatonic scales will instantly transform you into a lead guitar player! Too often, even experienced guitarists lack a complete understanding of how to construct major and minor pentatonic scales and how to use them effectively. So, the intent of this lesson is to provide insight for both inexperienced and experienced guitar players.

These are some tips that I have for guitarists who want to add a little bit more flavour to their playing but don't know how. Let's say you know all the modes and scales, then what? And say you know what the pentatonic minor blues scale is, how do you make it sound bluesy?
