E|-------Stretching exercises-------------------

In this guitar lesson I will show you some great exercises that makes fretting hand fingers more flexible. Wide stretches are hard to do, and it’s easy to hurt yourself if you’re not well prepared for them, so – have a read! I wish you fun practicing!

The method in every exercise is almost the same. You pick a pattern for your fingers, and play it down the neck. Start on the 12th fret, and go down until you hit the first fret. It’s because (as you can see, obviously) – the low frets are the widest. Keep the suggested fingering – it’s the most important part of this practice.

Stretching Exercise 1

The point of this exercise is to use only fingers that are only next to each other : (1,2) , (2,3) , (3,4). Practice using all of the combinations.
