Abstract:
I had a request to do this lesson, and I will try to the best that I can. I say that because there isn’t a “golden rule to transcription” or something like those advertisements say. But, unlike popular belief, you don’t need perfect pitch to transpose by ear either.

In the late 90s I suffered a repetitive strain injury (the official diagnosis was either Tendonitis or Tenosynavitis) in my picking hand. I wrote about this at the time but thought it might be worth revisiting a decade later.
