This is an extension to a lesson that a lot of people seemed to like that I did a while back. What effect does changing the order of pedals have on your sound? Where should I put each pedal for the best sound? What is each pedal actually doing? I'll be doing my best to answer all of these questions in this new mini-series of lessons.

One of the things that frustrates almost every guitarist on the planet is how they can practice a song note for note, but they won't get the sound they want if they can't figure out how to set their amps up properly. This article should hopefully help with that.

This is an article on how you can get the best out of your overdrive/distortion pedals. A lot of people use them, and a lot of people prefer not to as well, most often because they can't get a good sound out of it. However this is not always the fault of the pedal, so this lesson will help you to be certain.

Abstract:
Guitar effects have always been an important aspect of the guitarist’s sound. In order to use them to their full potential, it is important to understand how they work, how the order in which they are placed in the signal chain affects tone and which ones work well with the style and genre you associate yourself with.
